What OneScene is

OneScene is a discovery experience for movies and television. It presents curated promotional clips and can send you to streaming-provider destinations to continue watching elsewhere.

Information we collect and store

OneScene uses a technical anonymous profile to remember certain activity and provide features such as Likes and saved titles. This profile has an identifier that lets OneScene associate app functionality with the same profile; it is not a conventional named account.

We store your clip Likes, saved titles, and feedback with that anonymous profile. Feedback includes the star rating and free-text comment you choose to submit. Please do not include information in feedback that you do not want us to receive.

The OneScene website offers optional email sign-in and account creation. If you use those features, Supabase Auth processes your email address and verification code to authenticate you or link your OneScene profile. The native app does not currently offer email sign-in.

The OneScene website stores certain information in your browser to operate OneScene, including session information, your Streaming Services preference, recently seen content, and limited technical or operational state used for reliability. In some circumstances, this can include temporarily pending feedback or playback information while a request is being completed.

Information stored on your device

The native app stores its Supabase session locally so it can restore your anonymous profile. The website and native app store onboarding completion and their Streaming Services preference locally. Genre selections are session-only, as are Content Type selections in the native app. In the native app, Delete My Data resets the Streaming Services preference to its default setting. It does not remove onboarding completion or recent-discovery history, which remain stored locally on the device and are not part of the server-side anonymous profile.

How we use information

We use the technical profile and its associated Likes, saved titles, and feedback to provide the features you request. On the OneScene website, we record product usage such as liking or saving content, opening Watch now, selecting a provider, sharing, changing filters, submitting feedback, and interacting with promotional clips. Playback information can include measures such as watch time, progress or completion, and playback interactions. This information may be associated with the technical profile identifier and is used to understand and improve OneScene.

Third-party services

Supabase provides anonymous authentication, optional website email authentication, and backend database services for OneScene. Cloudflare Turnstile helps protect new anonymous-profile creation from automated abuse. For information about Cloudflare’s processing of Turnstile data, see Cloudflare’s Turnstile Privacy Addendum. OneScene uses YouTube API Services to embed promotional clips. Loading or playing embedded clips can result in information being processed by YouTube and Google through the embedded player. Google’s processing of this information is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy. Watch now opens a curated destination with a streaming provider; OneScene does not receive your provider-account credentials through this link flow.

OneScene uses PostHog on the website to understand product usage. OneScene sends selected interaction and playback events to PostHog, and these events may be associated with the technical OneScene profile identifier. OneScene does not enable PostHog’s automatic page-view or interaction capture.

OneScene uses TMDB-derived title metadata through its own administrative workflow. The native app does not directly send your device information or a TMDB credential to TMDB. Each third party may process network or other information under its own policies; this policy does not make claims about their independent practices.

Data retention and deletion

Data associated with your OneScene profile is retained until the profile is deleted. In the native app, you can open More, then About OneScene, then Delete My Data to delete your anonymous OneScene profile and associated OneScene data, including Likes, saved titles, and feedback. After confirmed deletion, OneScene clears the local Supabase session and does not create a new anonymous profile until you complete a fresh Turnstile flow.

Delete My Data does not clear device-local onboarding completion or recent-discovery history. It resets the native app's Streaming Services preference to its default setting.

Your choices

You can choose whether to Like, save, or submit feedback. You can use Delete My Data in the native app to delete your anonymous OneScene profile and associated Likes, saved titles, and feedback. You can also choose whether to follow an external streaming-provider link.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as OneScene changes. The Last updated date above identifies the version currently published at this address.
